Receipt of your original photographs:

Photographic Restoration Services (PRS) cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to your original photographs occurring either in transit or during postage. You are advised to send your photographs by Royal Mail Special Delivery and obtain a signature as proof of posting. If possible, it is also advisable to insure your photographs, as any loss could be unrecoverable if the original negatives are not available.

Delivery:

All original photographs will be returned by Royal Mail Special Delivery, along with your completed restorations. PRS do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to your restorations during transit with the Royal Mail. All restorations and original materials are covered by Royal Mail's basic insurance and no other costs or charges can be levied onto PRS for subsequent loss.

Quality:

We will endeavour to match image quality and colour (where necessary) as closely as possible to the original photograph.  Exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed due to intrinsic limitations of the electronic processing, ink dyes and base paper used in the process. As with all digital images, the picture is made up of tiny dots and not continuous tones as with a photograph printed from film.

You are advised to keep all digital images under glass, in a plastic wallet or in a Photograph Album, away from any source of moisture, airborne contaminants and direct sunlight as you would with all other precious items.

Copyright:

By entering into a contract with Photographic Restoration Services and by requesting our services, you are assumed to own the full copyright, or have obtained permission to use the photographic image to be manipulated.

You, the customer, will be held liable for any violation of copyright taken by a third party.

Payment:

Payment can be made by Cash, Cheque or Postal Order, payable to Photographic Restoration Services and will be payable upon the satisfactory completion of the work undertaken.

Please do not send cash through the post.

Guarantee:

Your restorations are covered by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. Should you feel that the restoration is unsatisfactory, we will replace it with one that you are happy with, at no extra cost to you.

All claims for faulty goods must be received within 5 working days of receipt.  Goods damaged during delivery must be returned with the original packaging before any replacements can be dispatched. In all events and circumstances, the limit of Photographic Restoration Services liability is restricted to the value of replacement materials only.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
